Children’s Ministry Volunteers

Our Children’s Ministry will contact parents and volunteers throughout the year to assist with Sunday School, the nursery, holiday events, and VBS. Our Children’s Ministry creates many opportunities for our little ones to learn and experience Christ’s teaching and goodness. Scroll down to see all of the service opportunities available!

2024-2025 School Year

Here we are again planning for another great year of Children’s Ministry at Lakeside. We have been so blessed to welcome quite a few new families to Lakeside over the last year. Do you know that we have 90 kids who regularly attend our nursery or children’s ministry events? We are so thankful for the opportunity to train these children up to love the Lord and serve Him. Would you consider partnering with us this school year as we do that? Here are some of the ways you could serve our covenant children (Find details below):

Opportunities to Serve

    Sunday School

    We are looking for volunteers to help with Sunday School one quarter at a time. We have FIVE Sunday School classes. Let us know if you would like to teach or just offer a helping hand during the Sunday School hour.

    Children's Church

    We are looking for one volunteer that would be willing to teach Children’s Church one Sunday per month. This would include both services for that one day.

    Food for Foundations on Sunday Nights

    We provide a heavy snack/meal for the kids that join us for Foundations on Sunday nights. Foundations is a time when the kids learn the catechism questions that help them learn the foundations of our Faith in Christ. Plan to feed 45 children.

    Wednesday Night Program Helpers

    We have the teaching and programming covered for Wednesday nights, but we need some extra hands to help us keep all of the children safe! Please consider signing up for one or two nights to help with our Wednesday night programs.

    Last Minute Fill-in Team

    Occasionally, we need volunteers to help us staff the nursery or children’s ministry programs and events. Sometimes, a nursery worker or volunteer might have to back out at the last minute. Sometimes, we need to offer a nursery during special events and services. If you want to be added to this list, please sign up below.
