Open to 3rd–8th grade students
Violin, viola, and cello instruction
Weekly 45-minute group lessons
Beginner, intermediate, and advanced levels
Multiple performances throughout the year
Cost & Logistics
$75/month (August- May)
One-time Supply Fee ($50 before July 1 / $60 after)
Instruments are available for rent or purchase
Commitment
Strings is a year-long program designed for growth and consistency.
Regular attendance and weekly practice help students get the most out of the experience.
Strings will meet every Wednesday afternoon at Lakeside Presbyterian Church. There will be breaks that coincide with the local school schedule.
Our Team
Nancy Bateman
Nancy Bateman teaches the program with decades of experience teaching and performing. She is passionate about helping students grow in both skill and love for music.
Marilyn Julian
Marilyn Julian is the program director with decades of experience as an organist with a variety of organizations. She is currently Lakeside Presbyterian Church’s organist and interim Chancel Choir Director.
