The Journey begins on January 1st, 2012! 

All the members and friends of Lakeside are challenged by the Session to be part of a great adventure starting the first day of 2012 – to read through the Bible together in a year!
Our plan will be Route 66: Journey Through the Bible. Our desire is that the members of our congregation
know the 66 books of God’s Word, and thus the Word’s One God, in a way never realized before. Toward this goal, this will be a chronological tour through the Scriptures.
Everyone is encouraged to fill it out a “commitment postcard” with the purpose of reading through the Scriptures this coming year. Cards were mailed to all active members and can also be found in the foyer
and the pews. They can be mailed back to the church or dropped in the offering plate during the month of December.
For those who don’t want to engage the whole Bible, there is an opportunity to take the “scenic” route through the New Testament alone. Feel free to check that option. Our goal is to know the Scriptures better!
Ordered Chronological Bibles will arrive by mid- December. For those who wish to use their own Bibles, reading schedules will also be provided both for the entire Bible and the New Testament read-through.
